BLACK COFFEE
by Agatha Christie

A deadly formula. A locked room. And a cup of coffee served with a side of murder.

When eccentric inventor Sir Claud Amory discovers someone in his own household has stolen his top-secret explosive formula, he locks the library doors and offers a deal: return the formula under cover of darkness, and no questions will be asked. But when the lights go back on, a thief is the least of his worries. Sir Claud is dead—poisoned right in his own armchair.

Fortunately, the world's greatest mind is on the case. Alongside his faithful companion Captain Hastings, the legendary Belgian detective Hercule Poirot arrives just in time to untangle a web of family secrets, deceptive guests, and hidden motives.

Can you piece together the clues before the eccentric sleuth delivers his famous grand finale?

Runtime: Approximately 2¼ hours.

Content Advisory: This play is a classic murder mystery involving themes of theft, espionage, and death by poisoning. It is recommended for ages 10 and up, as younger children may find the pacing or length of the play challenging. There is no graphic violence, gore, or profanity, though the plot involves mature themes typical of a 1930s "whodunit."
